The Ladies at Interclub Provence

Yesterday our team Interclubs Provence Dames Paca started the 2020 season
on the Servanes golf course where 13 clubs gathered to play the 1st meeting of the year.
This competition was played in individual stableford with a shot gun start for the 86 players.
Our club was represented with the following players;

Sylvie Boulet Capron, Françoise Reynaud, Micheline Blot, Marie Cargnino
Fabienne Guerin, Anne Cavalier, Anne Marie Digiovanni and Sylvie Torner.

Bravo girls, we finish 1st with 101 points with the magnificent scores of

Sylvie Boulet-Capron Brut 27 points
Francoise Reynaud Net 40 points
Anne Cavalier Net 34 points

Hats off to Sylvie and Françoise who are first overall,
Sylvie in gross and Françoise in net.

Sainte Victoire is 2nd with 91 points and Les Alpilles Servanes / Manville 3rd with 90 points.

We ended this beautiful meeting at the restaurant of the club La Bergerie by sharing
A nice lunch with all the players in a very warm atmosphere.

Resumption of competitions for the ASP and first stage at La Cabre d’Or with a Mistral of madness that has cooled many fervors.
Bravo to Albert with 36 on the Net and Anne-Marie with 33. Meilleur Brut Philippe Vallée with 18. Pont Royal finishes 7th out of 10.

The Seniors Team at the PACA championship

The Championship of ” Ligue Séniors Messieurs” took place from 5 to 7 july at  Valescure.

First round in Stroke Play sees Pont Royal 3rd within 8 teams.

The 4 leading teams fighting on the second round to qualify for 1st division.
 Pont Royal plays against Grand Avignon, who finished 2d, and.. Pont Royal wins 3/2
and … 2020 we shall play in  1st division !
Congratulations to the team for their commitment and fighting spirit…
 Well done captain Fred for the superb 70 .. best score of the first round.

Ladies Seniors at Barbossi

The Senior Ladies League Championship 2019 took place at Riviera Golf Barbossi on 5-6th July. Pont Royal qualified in 2nd Division in 2018. In this category, the competition was 1st day Stroke play with 3 best scores of 4 counting, followed by Match play on Day 2 to determine whether teams progress, remain or are demoted.
Pont Royal was classed 8th at the end of Day 1. In hot, humid conditions and with an injured player, the team lost their match against Fregate and return to Promotion for 2020.
Well done to all for their efforts and best wishes for the Championship at Valgarde in September.

Interclub Ladies PACA at Miramas

Thursday, May 30th, 3rd meeting of the season Interclubs Provence Ladies Paca on the Miramas golf course in stableford individual and start in shot gun at 9:30 for the 82 players.

Pont Royal was represented by Sylvie Boulet-Capron, Micheline Blot, Francine Battini, Nicole Rault Anne Marie Di Giovanni and Sylvie Torner.

We finished 5th with 83 points and the scores of Sylvie Boulet -Capron Brut 29 points Sylvie Torner Net 31 points Francine Battini Net 23 points

The Alpilles are 1st with 94 points, Dolce Frégate, Aix en Provence / Ste Victoire and Aix Marseille are 2nd exaequo with 87 points, La Salette 3rd with 85 points .

We are 6th overall. Congratulations to Sylvie Boulet-Capron who wins the 1st place overall.

Beautiful sunny day with a little wind that ends with a country buffet that we shared in a very friendly atmosphere.

Our next meeting will take place on the Golf of La Sainte Baume on Thursday, June 13 in individual stableford with a shot gun start at 8:30. If you want to participate in this meeting, let Captain Sylvie Torner know.

Dames Seniors de Provence… the Ladies at Salon

Yesterday the senior ladies team found the players of the “Lucienne” -DSPLA 2019-at the golf of Salon air school.
The competition was played in scramble with shotgun start. We were 88.

The Pont Royal club, represented by 8 players won the first place of the day with a score of 108 points and the second place overall after this third competition.

Margriet Sigwald and Marie Pierre Blériot: 34 in gross and 40 in net
Micheline Blot and Francine Battini: 33 in net

The sun at the rendezvous, a small fresh wind to push the ball at the right time and the warm welcome of Salon have made a beautiful day …. although finding the greens of Pont Royal gives us a pleasure always renewed ..!.
